Ohio House Bill 125 Resources Printer Friendly

The Healthcare Simplification Act (HB125) is composed of reforms to simplify administrative demands on health care providers to bring transparency to the contracting process, to ensure fairness in contracting and to promote a standardized provider credentialing process. Specifically, HB125 requires a summary disclosure form for contracts between certain health care providers and health plans, along with a full disclosure of fee schedule information, categories of products or networks, and terms under which contracts can be changed. It also limits the use of "most favored nation clause" and eliminates "all products" clauses that require providers to participate in all of a health plan's products as a condition of participating in any one product. HB125 requires a standardized credentialing process for Ohio physicians. As an Ohio provider contracted with HealthLink, Inc.
